Frances Jones Obituary
LEXINGTON, SC - Long term Aiken resident Frances Niblett Jones, 94, passed away March 14, 2017, at the Presbyterian Home in Lexington, SC, where she enjoyed living for the past two years.
Born in Berlin, VA, on January 7, 1923, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Edward Niblett and the late Virginia Jenkins Niblett. She grew up in Windsor, VA, and attended Mary Washington University. She worked for U.S. Naval Intelligence for five years during World War II and had many interesting stories to share about life in Washington, DC, during that period.
She and her devoted and loving husband, Wilson R. Jones, moved to Aiken in 1952 and lived there until his death in 2010. She had retired as Office Manager for Quality Specialty Co. Mrs. Jones was an accomplished pianist and often said that music and family were the loves of her life.
She is survived by daughter Virginia "Ginny" Cowart (Carl) of Waxhaw, NC; daughter Vicki Hodges (Ralph) of Aiken; son Vernon Jones of Columbia; grandchildren Jeffrey Hodges, David Cowart (Michelle), Ashley Cowart Carson (Tom) and Benjamin Jones; and five great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Jones will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 in the Chapel at the Presbyterian Home, 700 DaVega Dr., Lexington, SC 29073, with a visitation immediately following in the Tapp Dining Room.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Presbyterian Communities, 700 DaVega Dr., Lexington, SC 29073.

To Ginny, Vicki, Vernon and families,
My deepest love and condolences to all of you.
Frances was my best friend for more than 20 years. We loved and trusted each other completely and enjoyed this mutual feeling. Before we both moved away from Aiken around 2011, we celebrated our birthdays together every year and spent joyful time joined with our spouses during Christmas Holiday. I also had the pleasure knowing Vernon, Vicki and Ginny.
Frances taught me a great lesson about friendship by saying 'I love You'. With my Chinese background which is not accustomed to this expression. Thanks to Frances, by saying those wonderful words, my heart is filled with love and happiness.
Frances is in our Heavenly home with God. I thank God to bless me for giving me a great friend. Every moment in my memory with Frances was filled with love, understanding, hugs and laughter.
My dear Frances, God is with you, rest in peace and 'I Love You' always.

To Vernon and family:
Our deepest condolences to you and your family. We were so saddened to hear about the loss of Mrs. Frances. She made such a lasting impact on each of our lives. Fred and Sidney both had such great memories of her and I myself enjoyed her each time she came to the salon. She was by far my favorite client and I am lucky to have known her even for these few short years. We all truly loved Frances and we will definitely miss her.

To Vernon, Jenny & Vicky & families,
Sympathy & love to all. Frances & I became such close friends. She & Wilson & I would spend time at the Waffle House or at their house. I was always welcome there & I often remarked that I had never been in a home where there was so much love & peace. We were such close friends.
I didn't know about Frances' musical talent! That's another thing we had in common!
