Evelyn Hurt Obituary
Graniteville - A celebration of life service for Mrs. Evelyn Crumpton Drucilla Hurt, age 82, will be held 12:00 PM Thursday September 23, 2021, at Christian Heritage Church with Pastor Jonathan Randall officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, SC.
Mrs. Hurt was the beloved wife of the late Mr. James Hurt and the daughter of the late Mr. Andrew Crumpton and the late Myrtle Mae Brown. She was a native of Easly, SC, but had made Aiken her home for the last 62 years. She was a member of Christian Heritage Church. Mrs. Hurt retired in 2005 after 10 years of service at Aiken Elementary being a lunchroom supervisor. She loved the arts and was a self painter.
Mrs. Hurt is survived by one sister Rita (Andy) Munson, Graniteville. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers Savlie, Leciel, Billy, Harvey, and Charles Crumpton.
A visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to service at Christian Heritage Church. COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. Due to Covid19, masks and social distancing are suggested. The service will be live streamed on the Cole Funeral Home Facebook Page.
