Eugene Moseley Obituary

Mr. Eugene "Gene" Clinton Moseley, 88, beloved husband of Mrs. Polly Boyd Moseley, entered into rest on Thursday, July 10, 2025, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Gene was born in Aiken, South Carolina to the late George Henry and Alma Mae Baynham Moseley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Moseley Mauney, and brothers, William Edward Moseley and Robert Wayne Moseley. The family will greet friends on Thursday, July 17, 2025, beginning at 10 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829, followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the funeral home chapel at 11 o'clock. Private interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Left to cherish Gene's memory is loving wife of 62 years, Polly Boyd Moseley, of Trenton, SC; daughters, Marie Weathersbee (David), of Jackson, SC, and Julie Brown (Timmy), of Trenton, SC; son, Gary Moseley (Mary), of Beech Island, SC; seven grandchildren: Robbie Weathersbee, Eric Weathersbee, Erica Millwood, Justin Brown, Ashley Brown, Cody Moseley, and Kayla Moseley; and ten great-grandchildren. Gene proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Vaucluse First Baptist Church. He also worked for Daniel Construction, J.M. Huber Corporation, and retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Gene enjoyed wood carving, working with the Sons of the Confederate Veterans (SCV), and he especially loved spending time with his family.
