Eugene and Charlene, I was sorry to hear of the passing of Gene. As we get older, I realize how very young 43 years are. To have to say goodbye to a child is surely the hardest thing we have to do on this earth. Our prayers are for you to be comforted by the knowledge that those in Christ will be waiting for the rest of us. I pray that the Lord will give you peace and comfort in the coming days.

I was so shocked to hear of his death and i still can't fully wrap my mind around the fact that he's really gone. He was always Uncle NewGene to me since i was just a baby. I have sooo many loving memories of him and he was one of the few ppl that was actually at the hospital when i had my babygirl. He was one of the first to get to hold her and i cried the when i saw him gently craddling my firstborn's head in his huge hands. His smile is something that I've cherished always cause it was so bright that it could light up any darkness in my life. My heart has been broken since i learned that he'd gone "Home",but my heart aches unrelentingly for his parents, brother, and kids..its unfair that he was taken at such a young age so unexpectedly. My heart and prayers are forever with his family and i pray that they know that he adored them all, especially his boys, who were his light in his life. I know how deeply and unconditionally he loved them all because he spoke of them often with so much love. He will forever be greatly missed and no words will ever be enough to express or describe the extraordinary soul of the man we knew as Gene Free. The Angels have now got one of the best and brightest spirits that have ever graced this earth. I hope that one day I'll have the chance to see him once again even if only for a moment just to let him know how much i've always loved him and always will. R.I.P. Uncle NewGene..I hope you're dancing in the sky.
