Elizabeth C. "Lib" Proctor
BARNWELL, SC - Elizabeth C. "Lib" Proctor, 82, widow of John Proctor, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at her residence.
A native of Polk County, NC, Lib was the daughter of the late Lewis C. and Pauline T. Cudd. She lived in the Aiken area since 1952. She retired from E. I. DuPont at the Savannah River Site where she worked as a Field Project Manager Confidential Secretary from 1956 until 1998. Lib was a pilot and enjoyed flying. She also enjoyed water skiing, playing the piano and shooting machine guns. Lib loved taking care of her pets as well as feeding stray animals.
Survivors include a daughter, DeLana Quinn, Boerne, TX; a son, Randall Cash, New Ellenton; four grandchildren, Angela Martinez, Jason Cash, Jearldean "Jerry" Majors Patterson, Thomas Majors; two great-grandchildren, Elena Martinez, Orlando Martinez. In addition to her parents and husband, Lib was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Cudd, Jr. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Sandra Cash and a son-in-law, Sandy Quinn.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, December 7th at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home beginning at 2 o'clock followed by her funeral service at 3 o'clock. The Rev. Dr. Henry L. Chennault will officiate. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randall Cash, Jason Cash, Ron McKenzie, Fernando Martinez, Jerry Majors Patterson and Sandy Quinn.
