Elizabeth McLean
JACKSON, SC - Graveside Services for Mrs. Elizabeth McLean, 84, who entered into rest January 28, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in Jackson Memorial Park. Dr. Mark Riser officiating.
Mrs. McLean was a native of Old Ellenton, having made Jackson her home for over 60 years. Growing up in Old Ellenton, Mrs. McLean was a member of the First Christian Church. She continued her membership when the church was moved to Jackson and served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Secretary. Currently, she attended Matlock Baptist Church where she was a member the Joy Sunday School Class. Mrs. McLean worked as a Nurse for Dr. Gerald W. Burrough and Dr. Robert N. DeVore and retired from both E.I DuPont and Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site as a Key Punch Operator. She loved gardening, flowers and spending time with her family. The joy of her life was her great-granddaughter, Emma Kate. In her memory, the family invites you to plant a flower in your garden and think fondly of her when it blooms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Allen McLean; parents, Joseph Wilson Muns and Ethel Williams Muns; a brother, Robert Cecil Muns; a sister, Josie Muns Walker.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Scott, Jackson, SC; a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Irby Grant, Jackson, SC; a granddaughter, Jessica Reynolds (Jason); two great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Reynolds and Austin Lee Reynolds.
Pallbearers will be Rock Willingham, Roger DeWeese, Bruce Goff, Robbie Weathersbee and Jason Brittain.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening from 6 until 8.
