Edward William Clements
Aiken - A vigil service for Mr. Edward William Clements, age 73 will be held 11:00 am Friday July 21, 2017 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Steve Platte MD celebrant. Military Honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army Ceremonial Team. Mr. Clements entered into rest at his residence Saturday July 15, 2017. He was a native of Newport, Rhode Island and made Aiken County his home for the past 3 years. Mr. Clements was the beloved husband of Mrs. Carolyn Bea Greever-Clements and a son of the late Mr. Donald Eugene Clements and the late Mrs. Marie Jeanette LeClerc Clements. Mr. Clements had retired in 2010 after 30 years of work in the life insurance industry. His last employment was with Nationwide. Mr. Clements was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Additional survivors include two sons, David Allen (Sharon Welch) Clements, Seaford, Delaware, Richard "Rick" Banister, Austin, Texas; one daughter, Colleen Marie (Derrell) Helms, Williamsburg, New Mexico; three brothers, Donald Eugene (Barbara) Clements, Sarasota, Florida, David Allen (Sandy) Clements, Macon, Georgia; Thomas Hayes Clements, Fayettville, North Carolina; seven grandchildren and five great grand children. A visitation with the family will be held following the service at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801. 803-648-7475.
