I wish the entire Balloff family my sincerest sympathies. Ed and Sam were responsible for looking out for my father who grew up in Oak Ridge after my grandfather passed away. They took a fatherless child and showed him love and attention. I am forever grateful for their kindness. My dad never forgot that and always spoke of Ed as the person he learned the most from about work and life. He will be missed. Thank you and God bless Mr. Balloff.

Ed was a devoted Tennessee basketball fan. I was in the media and he attended every post-game news conference during the DeVoe years. He wasn't an arrogant, pompous fan, just solid person who was in your corner win or lose. He made a positive difference. His impact on LaFollette was significant.

It was always a pleasure waiting on you at the bank. You were always pleasant and patient. This is a great loss not only for LaFollette, but for all who loved East Tennessee, Tennessee basketball, and life in general. Mr Balloff celebrated life and he lived it to the fullest. God Bless You Mr. Balloff. Rest in eternal Peace. You will be missed by so many.

Always a pleasure to have coffee with him at office on Saturday and listen to his stories. It was a honor to call him a friend. He loved being an Attorney and serving the people. We will miss him.

"And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden wealth of secret places, in order that you may know that it is I, The Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name". Isaiah 45:3. Mr. B definitely walked in the light, leaving a legacy of how to treat others and how to leave the world better than you found it. He was the perfect example of everything that is good, kind, and right in the world. His Friendship was certainly "a Treasure" in my life. I will deeply miss this cherished friend. Scarlett
