Edna "Pee Wee" Smith
AIKEN - Ms. Edna "Pee Wee" Smith, age 65, formerly of 733 Teague St., passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her daughter's residence in Rock Hill.
Funeral services will held 1 PM Saturday July 22, 2017 at Jordan Baptist Missionary Baptist Church, 300 Skyland Farm Rd, Williston, SC (Viewing 12-1 PM) with Rev. Darrell Blocker, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, John D. Scott and Lucy Williams and her step father, Lassie Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted daughter, Angela (Ted) Davis, three sons, Colonel Lillard (Shi) Evans, Charles Abney and Christopher Smith; two sisters, Judy Williams and Bernita Hall; three brothers, Aubrey (Clarice) Williams and Allen Dunbar and Lester Hall; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Edna Faye Smith, such a remarkable woman, graduated from Martha Schofield High School, Class of 1969. Directly after graduating, she became an employee of Buster Brown, Inc. until the company closed. There after led Edna to a ten year employment of Graniteville Mill. Later she became a sub-contractor for Dupont. During this time Edna was a carpenter by trade and retired 13 years later.
Edna was a determined, diligent, hardworking mother, friend, and confidant. She adored her grands, which she had her hand in raising. After falling ill, she was cared for by her children. The last five months, she was cared for by her daughter and son-in-law by way of Rock Hill SC, where she spent her last days.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 -7 PM.

Saying good bye to another classmate. In school Edna was an outstanding person with an awesome smile. I haven't seen her in a few years, but I still remember her smile. RIP my friend and God bless your family.
