Dorothy Nicholson Obituary
AIKEN - Mrs. Dorothy Mae Cullum Nicholson, daughter of Johnnie and Minnie Bell Brown Cullum departed this life and transitioned to be with the lord at her home surrounded by her family on Friday June 23, 2023 She was employed with the Aiken County School System as a cafeteria staff employee. She worked at North Aiken Elementary for 21 years and Kennedy Middle School for 5 years after which she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of seventy-one years, Dea. James Marshall Nicholson, their son, Baby Alvin Nicholson, one Sister, Carrie Bell McDowell, while leaving to cherish many memories and her Legacy: four daughters Genell Nicholson Cave, Cindree Nicholson Robinson (Levi), Shirley Nicholson Ancrum and Diane Nicholson Counts ; two sons, Nathaniel Nicholson (Eunice) and James Albert Nicholson; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; cousins, other relatives, and loving friends. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Ocean Grove Baptist Church (Viewing from 11AM-Noon). Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call the residence, 366 Nicholson Drive or JACKSON-BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, 126 Fairfield St., SE, Aiken, SC 29801, 803 649 6123 Friday from 2-7 PM.
