Donna McIntosh Obituary

Donna McIntosh
Mar. 21, 1965 - Aug. 19, 2014
Resident of Morgan Hill
Donna McIntosh lost a four year battle with cancer. As with everything Donna did, she worked hard on surviving in order to take care of her family.
Donna graduated in 1983 from College Park High School in Pleasant Hill and graduated in from UCSC with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology 1987. Donna married Del Foster in 1989 and settled on a career raising her family. Donna worked hard on being the perfect partner, cheerleader and counselor. As with everything she did, her hard work paid off in the success of her four wonderful children: Kiley, Moira, Kaden and Molly. For Donna, her family came first and she applied her skills and education to taking care of her family in numerous ways such as baking wonderful bread, raising chickens and gardening. Donna was an enthusiastic hiker and athlete who loved the outdoors.
She is also survived by her parents, David and Nancy McIntosh, and her brother John and sister Valerie, her grandmother Kathryn McIntosh, as well as numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
In keeping with Donna's love of the outdoors, a Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Madonna County Park at 2:00 on August 28, 2014. Informal attire is encouraged.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to any organization that supports open space, but in particular the Peninsula Open Space Trust, the California Parks Foundation or the County of Santa Clara County Parks.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of Donna. When our family lived in Morgan Hill we always enjoyed sharing experiences at our children's elementary school. As our kids got a bit older she and I shared several wonderful conversations together over coffee and/or dessert. She is missed.

I was heartbroken to hear about Donna. She was a strong, beautiful woman who loved her family. I am honored to have known her and to have cleaned her teeth on a regular basis at Dr. Stein's office. May the memories of her comfort your family at this time.

Donna was a woman who always impressed me as someone sure of who she was and her role in life. Her family was what she was the role she cherished the most. My heart goes out to all of you. She will be missed by so many.

Dear Del, Kiley, Moira, Kaden and Molly,

We are deeply saddened by the news of Donna's passing. She was a wonderful person. So smart, funny, kind and easy going. She was such a good friend to me when I had just moved to Morgan Hill and though we lost touch I thought of her often and all the fun adventures our families had together.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. May your memories comfort you.
Deepest condolences,
Sam, Lisa, Emalia, Maile and Kiana Seto

My sister Suzy and I are so sorry to hear this news, and send our deepest sympathies. We graduated with Donna from College Park, and remember her as smart and very kind. Our other memories of her are summers cheering for her and Babes(Rochelle) at Dolfin swim meets and For CPHS. Again, our deepest condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss. Donna was a friend from a long, long time ago. We swam together and later went to high school together. Our paths went seperate ways and we didn't stay in touch until a few years ago we exchanged a few words on Facebook. She was so proud of her family and looking forward to the next chapter of her life. I will always remember her as that smart (I mean really smart), kind, fast, talented, friend that she was to me all those years ago. May she rest in peace.

Dear Del, Kiley, Moira, Kaden and Molly,
I remember when I first met your mom, way back in the early days of MathCounts when Kiley was one of our first students. I could tell that she was a devoted mom, and just a no-nonsense, straightforward type of gal.
I can see a piece of your mom in each of you.
My sincere condolences,

I am so sorry for your loss. We saw Donna not that long ago and she seemed to be doing very well. This a shock. Lucinda and I are very saddened.
