Donald B. Zippler
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Memorial Services for Mr. Donald B Zippler, 90, of Woodlawn Lane, North Augusta, SC, Who entered into rest April 13, 2017, will be conducted Saturday May 13, 2017, at 2:00 PM. Service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 639 Georgia Avenue North Augusta, SC. A brief visitation with the family will be held prior to the service at 1:30 PM at the church.
Mr. Zippler was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He moved to North Augusta in 1952 after receiving his Bachelor's Degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown Pa. and was employed by E.I DuPont for 33 years. Donald was a member of both St John's United Methodist Church in Augusta, GA and Grace United Methodist Church of North Augusta.
Donald loved North Augusta and was an active volunteer at Riverview Park, contributed to the living History Park as well as donating the clock on the Municipal Building to welcome all to North Augusta.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years Karolyn Wilde Zippler, three sons, Calvin wife Kathy, Aiken, SC, Blaine wife Liz, South Chesterfield Va., Howard wife Wanda, North Augusta, SC. three granddaughters, Emily Paradise, Jennifer Zippler and Nyssa Zippler, one great grandchild Gabe Paradise. Donald is also survived by his brother Kenneth Zippler and family of Denville, NJ.
The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Grace United Methodist Church of North Augusta.

Mr. Zippler exemplified what love is all about. He certainly loved his wife and family, but he had a smile for everyone he met. His smile was contagious and he made you feel good. He will be missed.
