Donald Wayne Donley
AIKEN - Donald Wayne Donley, 89, passed away Wednesday, June 04, 2025.
Donald was born in 1936 to Herman and Martha Donley of Altoona, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, PA, graduating with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He and his wife of 66 years, Donna, moved to Johnstown, PA, where he had a distinguished career with Bethlehem Steel. He was a devoted father, raising his four daughters instilling in them the values of grit, perseverance, and a strong work ethic.
After retiring, Don and Donna moved to Aiken, South Carolina, where he embarked on a second career in residential real estate. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed working on home and yard projects in his spare time.
Don is survived by his four daughters: Sheri (Bill), Tammy (Dana), Susan (Todd), and Beth (Michael); he was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday afternoon, July 12, at 1 o'clock at St. John's Methodist Church. A reception will follow in Ward Hall. Don greatly appreciated the care and fellowship provided by the Stephen's Ministry Program. Donations may be made to the Stephen's Ministry Program at St. John's Methodist Church, P.O. Box 802, Aiken, SC 29802.
