Don Bennett Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Don Wayne Bennett, 74, loving husband of Linda Willing Bennett entered into rest, Wednesday March 11, 2015.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00PM Saturday March 14 at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Ayers officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The Pallbearers will be Martin Roberson, Charles Hatcher, Chuck Jordan, Tim Derrick, Doug Rogers, Wylie Rogers, Wylie Blackwell, Jonathan Derrick, and Philip Jhant.
Born in Corinth, MS, Don was the son of the late Harold Bennett and Mildred Duncan Bennett. He moved to Aiken in 1963 where he worked as a Maintenance Engineer for Tranter Industries. Mr.
Bennett was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Dale) Surrett, Hartsville, SC; a son, Brent (Teresa) Bennett, North Augusta; four grandchildren,
Caroline Surrett, Lexeigh Bennett, Bennett Surrett,
Chassidy Lusby; two brothers, Jack Bennett, Bastrop, LA and David Bennett, Olive Branch, MS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Shiloh Baptist Church, 3925 Shiloh Church Road, Aiken, SC 29805.
The family will receive friends Friday March 13 from 6 - 8 PM at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC 29801.
