Dennis Fitzgerald Obituary

AIKEN – DENNIS JOSEPH FITZGERALD, 78, beloved husband of Wendy Katonak Fitzgerald, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Camden, NJ, Dennis was a son of the late William and Alice Hoffman Fitzgerald. He grew up in Ashland, NJ and served in the U.S. Air Force. Dennis was stationed at the Aiken Air Force Station in 1962. He grew to love the area and remained for the rest of his life. He loved being on the water especially at his lake home on Lake Murray. He was the owner of Aiken Antiques and Auction.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Wendy, include his daughter, Monica Hetu (Mark), Greenville, SC; stepchildren, Richard Etheredge (Ille), England, Alex Etheredge (Kristina), Charleston, SC, Candace Beasley (Dustin), North Augusta, SC; eight grandchildren; four siblings, Patricia Wallace, Pennsylvania, Michael Fitzgerald (Betty Ann), Myrtle Beach, SC, Gloria Fitzgerald, New Jersey, Patrick Fitzgerald, Arizona.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, January 20th from 5 until 7 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Dennis' Life will be held on his birthday, March 20th at his lake home on Lake Murray.
