Deborah Wright Obituary
AIKEN - Mrs. Deborah Busbee Wright, 68, beloved wife of Russell Wilson "Rusty" Wright, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023. She was at home surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, 715 E. Pine Log Rd., with the Rev. Marion Britton officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Aiken, Deborah was the daughter of the late Herman Everett and Molly Perkins Busbee. She graduated from Aiken high school where she later became the transportation supervisor before retiring from the school system in 1998. Deborah loved to spend time with her family, cook, travel with Rusty, and dote on family and friends. She absolutely loved Mr. Wilson, her cocker spaniel. She will dearly be missed by all.
In addition to her husband, Deborah is survived by her daughter, Paige (Jason) Hicks, Aiken; two sons, Russell (Kelley) Wright, Jr., Chattanooga, TN, Mitch (Dani) Morris, Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Madison Wright, Kristin Hicks, Brandon (Jean) Hicks, Jack Morris; a sister, Norma (Jerry) Steed, Clyo, GA; a brother, Wayne Busbee, Aiken and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Crescent Hospice for their care and compassion of Deborah. Special thanks to her daughter Paige and niece Lisa Busbee for their tender care of Deborah during this difficult time.
