David Moyer Obituary
AIKEN - Mr. David Bruce "Top" Moyer, 65, beloved husband of Miriam Redd Moyer, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Windsor with the Rev. Dr. Wesley Kinard officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 - 2:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leroy Long, Joseph Crane, Preston Maloney, Lee Bodie, Brett Bodie, and Keith Rhoden.
A lifelong resident of Aiken, Mr. Moyer was a son of Pansy and James Moyer, both of Aiken. He served his country in the Army Reserve and fought in the Gulf War. Mr. Moyer was an officer with the City of Aiken Public Safety and Fire. He also worked as a supervisor at SRS for 18 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, RV'ing and playing the bass guitar. Mr. Moyer was a member and former director of the Harley Owner's Group and the Disabled American Veterans Charity. He loved spoiling his two grandchildren and will be remembered as someone who "never met a stranger".
In addition to his wife of 44 years and his parents, Mr. Moyer is survived by two children, Olivia Michelle (Lee) Love and David James Moyer; sister, Jane (Sid) Curry; brother, Larry (Patricia) Moyer; granddaughters Olivia and Aubree Love; nieces, Donna Moyer, Kristy Boyles, Nikki McKenzie, Georgia Motes, Tiffany (Jason) Anderson, Cari (Jason) White; nephews, Bruce Moyer, Thomas Moyer, Jimmy Motes, Jeff (Theresa) White, Scott White, Joseph Stefanski.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church of Windsor, PO BOX 238, Windsor, SC.
