Darrell M. Osborne passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16th at Sutter-Delta Memorial Hospital, Antioch.
Born to Helen and Frank Osborne of Sedro-Woolley, Washington. He is survived by his wife of 61 years , Rurie, his twin brother, Delmore William of Eugene, Oregon and his sister, Patricia Mosher of Sedro-Woolley, Washington. Also survived by his children, Dennis Osborne (Heidi) and Wendy Osborne, and one grandson and three granddaughters.
Darrell served in the United States Air Force for 4 years, and was employed by E.I. Du Pont de Nemours in Antioch for 35 years. Darrell was an avid hobbyist. Some of his hobbies included making stain-glass windows, gardening & growing orchids, bee-keeping and making dolls for his wife's doll collection. He loved to play golf and was one of the few fortunate ones to experience a hole-in-one. Additionally, he was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to bowl. He loved the arts, and his creative ability was reflected in his own oil paintings.
Darrell will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11:00 at Oak View Memorial Park Cemetery, Antioch, California.

Mike - It was a great pleasure to have known you. You are truly going to be missed by all. I loved talking to Wendy about the "Parental Units" and would try to swing by when you and Ru would come down to Fremont. Lunch was always a fun time. I so enjoyed going to your house and hanging out with the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Rue and family,
I am so very sorry for your loss, Mike will be missed by so many, and I have so many fond memories of him. Always making me laugh. I have a great memory Mike, Bill and I going up to Mt. Hood skiing, and I have to tell you it was one of the best ski trips, I never laughed so hard. I also have some great pictures of us up skiing.
I know loss is so difficult to go thru, even when you are expecting it. I still struggle everyday with loosing Joel. I am sure Mike and Joel will find each other.
