Dan Boone Obituary
New Ellenton - DAN M. BOONE, 80, beloved husband of Linda DeLucia Boone, passed peacefully, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA, surrounded by his family.
A native of Nashville, TN, Dan was a son of the late Daniel Thomas and Johnnie Marie Jackson Boone. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from DuPont and Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site after 37 years. He loved raising Brahman cattle and collecting antiques.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Linda, include three sons, John D. Boone (April), Thomas A. Boone (Karen), Marshall L. Boone, all of New Ellenton; five grandchildren, John D. Boone, II, Amber B. Weintraub (Johnny), Travis R. Boone (Amanda), Sandra Ruff, Andrew Ruff; three great-grandchildren, Jaxson D. Boone, Ansleigh Duffy, Hadley Braxton; brother, John Thomas Boone, Aiken; sister-in-law, Dottie Gunter, Beech Island, numerous nieces and nephews and a very special great-nephew, Cameron Fulford. In addition to his parents Dan was preceded in death by a grandson, Noah I. Boone and a brother, Robert Earl Boone.
A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, August 4th at 4:30 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. William Eaves officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Pine View Baptist Church, P.O. Box 157, New Ellenton, SC 29809.
