Dale Key Obituary

AIKEN – Dale Edward Key, 68, beloved husband of Carolyn Shuler Key, faded into the gentle sleep of death and into the loving arms of his personal Lord & Savior on Friday evening, March 11, 2022 following a brave struggle with cancer.
Born in Aiken on April 13, 1953 he was the son of the late Samuel Danner & Martha Woodward Key. Mr. Key was a retired laboratory technician with SRINI. He was a beloved husband, father and papaw. He was dedicated to his family and hard work. He attended Millbrook Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 sons, Shane Boone of Aiken, Chuck Key of North Augusta and Jason (Deirdra) Key of Aiken; a sister, Janice (James) Key Bryant of Aiken; 6 grandchildren, Alex Boone, Brandi Conrad, Anthony Golding, Adam Key, Madeline Key & Ashly Key; 3 great-grandchildren, Cecilia Boone, Anna Zimmerman & Wynny Sarmentose.
In addition to his parent, Mr. Key was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Bruce Key and Randy Key.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the George Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stephen Cannon officiating. A private interment will take place in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 pm at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SCI 29801, 803-649-6234.
