Daisy Chavous Obituary

Daisy Louise Chavous was born on November 6, 1930 in McCormick, SC to the late Willie Luchey and Edward McKinney. She peacefully departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family. At an early age she joined Shilo Baptist Church in McCormick, SC. She later joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was a devoted member for over 40 years. She loved her church and her church family. She was educated and graduated from Mims High School McCormick, SC. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Chavous Vault Company. She was united in holy wedlock to Leroy Chavous Sr and to this union three children were born. They were blessed to celebrate 60 years of marriage on December 29, 2011. She was a Godly and loving family woman who adore her husband, children and grandchildren and much to her delight her great grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leroy Chavous Sr, a brother William Luchey and a great grandchild Anaya Bayona-Davis. She was also preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Juanita Chavous and Linda Chavous and her brothers-in-law, Bayne Chavous and George Chavous. She leaves to cherish her loving memory three devoted and caring children, Gwendolyn Chavous, Leroy (Brenda) Chavous Jr and Gale (Wayne) Patterson all of Aiken, SC. Five loving grandchildren Lee (Sheila) Chavous, North Augusta, SC, Christopher Patterson, Lexington, SC, Jana Chavous, Marcus (Kia) Patterson of Aiken, SC and Gregory Davis, Atlanta GA.Two great grandchildren Marcus "MJ" Ryan Patterson Jr, Aiken, SC and Simone Davis, St Croix, Virgin Island. One sister Judy (Jimmy) Carter of Augusta, GA. Two sister-in-law, Mattie Luchey, North Augusta, SC and Minnie L. Chavous of Aiken, SC. One God-daughter, Alicia N. LaBoard of Aiken, SC and a host of other nieces, nephew, cousins and devoted friends. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Daisy, please visit our floral store.
