Swearingen, Sr
GIBSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA - Mr. Curtis Ronald "Ronnie" Swearingen, Sr., 71, of Gibsonville passed away at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
Born in Aiken, SC and moved to North Carolina in 1982, he was the husband of Rebecca "Becky" Swearingen, who survives and the son of Curtis L. Swearingen and Earlene Rhoden Swearingen, both deceased.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include his son, Curtis "Curt" Ronald Swearingen, Jr. of Greensboro; two step-children, Amy Rethaford Burne of Greenville, NC and Dale Rethaford of Gibsonville; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Donnie Swearingen of North Augusta, SC; sister, Kaye Wilson of Salisbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Michelle Rethaford
The funeral service will be conducted at Macedonia Lutheran Church on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at Alamance Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 421 West Front Street, Burlington, NC 27215.
