WILLISTON - Deaconess Cora Lee "Sweet" Brown Wimberly transition into eternal rest on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life Honoring Deaconess Cora Lee "Sweet" Brown Wimberly will be conducted on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, with Reverend Joe F. Singleton and Reverend John I. Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation for Deaconess Cora Lee "Sweet" Brown Wimberly will be on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Simmons Funeral Home of Williston, Inc. & Cremation Service. The family will receive family and friends at 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to: Aiken County Education Association - Retired C/O Connie Kramer 317 Rawls Dr.Leesville, SC 29070.

Ms. Wimberly was my 2nd grade teacher and I remember her being such a great teacher and fun memories of her falling asleep in class. She would also keep us straight, throughout the years after 2nd grade she would always see us and give us life lessons. About 5 years ago I had the pleasure of seeing her again. Still remembers me and other students all these years later. She will be missed, she puts the T in teacher. Rest in peace

Miss Wimberley was my second grade teacher. My brother let me know that she had made her transition. I still remember her and she was one of my favorite teachers sleep in peace.
