NORTH AUGUSTA - Mr. Clifford Gregory, 91, of Clearwater, SC, beloved husband of forty-nine years to Mrs. Penny Grady Gregory, entered into rest peacefully, in his sleep, in the comfort of his home on Friday, December 7, 2018.
Born in Bulloch County, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late John C. and Elizabeth Corley Gregory. A World War II Veteran, he proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Army, serving in the 2nd Armored Division, "Hell On Wheels." Cliff owned several businesses over the years. He was truly an Entrepreneur. He was a forty-year member of the American Legion Post #63, was an avid Falcons, DAWG and Braves fan and enjoyed fishing and cooking. More than anything however, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children and their spouses, Harold and Eugenia Gregory, Jimmy and Pamela Andrews, Clifford Wayne Hollis, Chris Hollis, John and Cherie Gregory, Kevin Morgan, Ann Rutland, Bonnie Bishop, Donna Daniels, Linda Parker and Glenda and Lewis Trout, sister, Myrtie Ashley, as well as several grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. Let us not forget his four-legged children, Muffin, Sassy and Little Willie Nelson.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 5 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 2 o'clock at Woodridge Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC. Pastor Tom Kalliokski will officiate. Interment with Veterans Honors accorded by a United States Army Honor Guard, will follow in a cemetery to be determined.
