Christopher Burnett Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Mr. Christopher Burnett, 59, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, January 4 at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Revered Taylor Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Pallbearers will be Ben Sharp, Chris Hendrix, Jeremy Fallaw, Chris Glover, Jeff Gregory, Dorsey Mitchell and Brandon Stroud. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris' shift colleagues from Kimberly Clark.
Chris was born in Greenwood, SC, a son of the late Jennings Duncan "J.D." Burnett, and Betty Sue Griffin Burnett. He had been a resident of Aiken for 50 years, worked for Westinghouse for over 25 years, the Aiken Department of Public Safety, and Kimberly Clark. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, and the Aiken Masonic Lodge #156.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Eubanks Burnett; a son, Michael Lee (Kristen) Burnett, Lexington; a grandson Heyward Allen Burnett; brother, Philip Jennings (Beth) Burnett, Aiken; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Shiloh Baptist Church, 3925 Shiloh Church Rd., Aiken, SC 29801, or the Savannah River Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 3694, Aiken, SC 29802
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday evening at SHELLHOUSE-RIVERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 715 E. PINE LOG RD., AIKEN, SC

I am so sorry to hear about the demise of Chris. I knew Chris when he was with ADPS wherein I was a cadet in college. What a nice gentleman. I am sorry that I lost contact with hi.
