So sorry for the family's loss. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Draw strength from the love of family and friends. May God's loving kindness comfort you and help you through this difficult time. (Psalms 119:76)

Christopher Rodney Burg was a kind and gentle soul who marched to the beat of a different drummer. Although he lived alone, he was always concerned about how others were doing, especially the familys many friends and relatives, from the New York area to Aiken, South Carolina. He had an uncanny ability to remember names, places and events, and tried to keep others informed. He wanted to be remembered as a soldier for service, for his kindness and how he treated others. He fiercely guarded his independence, but was always quick to reach out to others, especially when they were in need. Just mention a pizza party and he was there. Although he was Christened Rodney Christopher Burg, and called that by his brother and sisters, he insisted on people calling him by his middle name, which he wrote as Chirstopher. Rodney loved to travel, as long as you did the driving, although walking or riding his bike was his main mode of travel around town in Aiken. Christopher was very comfortable living in his own world in which his travel included spending hours pouring over maps and atlases, sorting and viewing the many photos he collected, or listening to his collection of music that he loved, especially jazz. He was preceded in death by His father, Leonard H. Burg, Sr; his mother, Anne (Griffen) Burg; his sister, Joan Y. Burg; and his beloved grandparents Anna Coleman (Momma Sweet), as well as Columbus and Ola Griffen. Christopher is survived by his eldest sister, Allynne Burg; his brother, Leonard H. Burg, Jr. (and wife Yvette Niiva Burg); sister Jennifer Bridgeforth; nieces Kemikaa Burg, Dominique Rhea and Amina Burg; nephews Wayne Bridgeforth, Kyle Bridgeforth, Kopavi Burg and Raimi Burg; and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. All in all, Christopher Rodney Burg was his own man and content to let others be themselves. May he rest in peace.
