Charlotte McCann Obituary
Jacksonville, FL - In loving memory of Charlotte Key McCann, who passed away on September 8, 2024, at the age of 76. Charlotte was born in Pensacola, FL, and spent her final years in Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by her beautiful family of nine children, sixteen grandchildren, and husband of 50 years, Jan. She spent a large portion of her life in Aiken, SC, between 1991 and 2016, where she raised most of her children. She was a devout follower of Christ, a skilled musician, and a lover of birds, card games, scripture, and her community.

Charlotte was my first cousin, once removed. She was the youngest of the grandchildren on the McDaniel side. My father was the eldest. She and I met as children and then again at 70+ years old and it was as if we had always known each other. She gave me family history that had been missing from my life which I treasure and we had some wonderful visits and long conversations. We found out that she was one year and 2 days younger than I and our wedding anniversaries were also two days apart. I enjoyed her visits so much and her wonderful loving and positive personality. She took delight in the important simple things of life and in the Lord. She was an inspiration to me as she described her love for her husband and their 9 wonderful children. I'm so very thankful for her coming into my life and all of the stories she told of her own upbringing with my aunts who I only met a few times. Her sweet spirit will live on in her children and grandchildren and I know we will meet again. Her life was filled with joy and blessings and she gave joy and blessed so many others. I am so grateful for having had her bless my life even for a brief time. Rejoice in heaven at the feet of Jesus, Charlotte. Sandra
