Charlotte Eisenstaedt Obituary

Charlotte Eisenstaedt
Sept. 17, 1920-Oct. 24, 2014
Resident of Concord
Charlotte passed away on October 24, 2014 after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimer's, and with her family by her side. Charlotte was born in Berlin, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1949 with her husband Gunther, where she settled and raised her two sons, Fred and Bert, in San Francisco. She worked for Fireman's Fund Insurance Co., and for twenty years for UCSF, San Francisco. But first and foremost in her life were her husband, sons, and granddaughters, Kimberly and Sara. She retired in the mid-seventies to care for her ailing husband, who ultimately passed away from cancer. She moved to San Rafael and lived there for several years. In 1984 she moved to Concord to be closer to her family and where she has lived for thirty years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gunther, and son, Fred. She is survived by her son, Bert and granddaughters, Kimberly and Sara.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association, alz.org.
Services will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3966 Chestnut Ave., Concord, Ca 94519 on November 14, at 11:00 a.m.

Dear "Charlottsky," as Dr. Aminoff called you; you will be missed. As a former co-worker at UCSF, it was a great privilege knowing you. I am deeply sorry for your family. May you rest in peace.
