Charlie Buggs
AIKEN, SC - Charlie Buggs, 80, of 668 Union Church Lane, entered into rest June 10, 2016 at PruittHealth of Aiken SC. Mr. Buggs was a member of Shaws Creek Baptist Church in Trenton, SC and was employed by WR Grace for over 30 years in which they dedicated "Buggs Park" in his honor. He was a self-made plumber and fishing was his hobby.
Funeral services will be held Thursday June 16 at 11:00 AM at Shaws Creek Baptist Church (Viewing from 10AM-11AM) with the Rev. RC Holloway Presiding over the services. Burial to follow in the Shaws Creek Cemetery.
Those who have preceded him in death include his father and mother John Henry and Georgianna Buggs, son Charlie Buggs, Jr., brothers John Henry, Jr., Robert, Eddie and Johnnie Lee Buggs, Sisters Mary Francis Bing and Sallie Mae Stevens.
Survivors include his spouse, Annie Kemp Buggs - to this union are his children: sons Rickey Kemp, Charles (Michelle) Kemp and daughter Michelle (George) Bush. Giving him 5 grandchildren Brendan Kemp, Patrick and Patricia Bush and Morgan and Megan Kemp. Other survivors include his children: Betty (Prince) Greene, Mamie (Daniel) Street, Teresa (Charles) Simpkins, Dianna (James) Banks, Debra (Jimmy) Aaron, Francine (Leon) Reid, Freddie Buggs and Marcus Johnson. He also is survived by sisters, Annie Mae (Robert) Humphries (North Carolina) and Georgia Mae Buggs (Aiken); Brother in-laws Willie (Hattie) Weaver (Philadelphia PA) and Kern Kemp (Aiken), and one sister in law Ethel Kemp (Aiken); with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Pruitt Health and DaVita of Aiken for all of their care and support they have given to the family. Family will receive friends at the residence after the service.
Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday from 6-7 PM at the funeral home.
