Charles Shivers
SOPERTON, GA - Funeral services for Mr. Charles Shivers, age 56 of Soperton, Georgia, who died, Wednesday, August 27, 2014, will be held on Monday, September 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Resource For Life COCC. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery. Elder John L. Toler will officiate.
Mr. Shivers was born in Aiken County, South Carolina. He attended Holy Temple Church Of God In Christ, and was employed by Graham Construction Company.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Willie L. and Lizzie Mae Davis Shivers, four brothers; Robert, Willie Jr., Samuel and Robert Lee Shivers, two sisters; Mabel King and Betty Jean Smith.
Survivors include, Mary Lizzie Bailey Shivers, one son, Samuel Brown; four daughters; Nancy, Marquita, Penny Shivers and Analisha Morris of Soperton; two step-daughters; Constance Johnson and Crystal Jackson of Dublin; two step-sons; Toby Jackson of Dublin and Bryant Waters of California; six sisters; Willie Mae Williams, Cleo Valentine, Betty Jo (Herman) King of Soperton, Juanita Mosley, Linda (Eugene) Johnson Sr., and Lizzie (John) Lewis of Aiken, SC; one great aunt, Evelyn Davis of Dublin; thirteen grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 31, 2014 from 1:00-7:00pm in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Baker Funeral Home, 4627 Louisiana Ave., Soperton, GA, 30457, 912-529-4935 has charge of the arrangements.
