Charles 'Charlie' Dickey
NORTHAUGUSTA - Mr. Charles W. "Charlie" Dickey, 65, of North Augusta, SC, beloved husband of forty-four years to Mrs. Lynn Hall Dickey, entered into rest on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
Born in Jenkins, County, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, he as a son of the late Grady B. "Pop" and Dorothy Mewbourne Dickey. He retired from Kemira after twenty-two years of service as a Senior Chemical Operator. Charlie was a dedicated member of Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed camping, traveling with Lynn and fishing, fishing and more fishing! More than anything however, he enjoyed watching his grandsons Tyler and Trent Leopard, play football.
In addition to his wife, parents and grandsons, family members include his daughter, Deana Leopard, who affectionately called Charlie "Diddy" and her husband, Jon, Belvedere, SC; siblings, Dennis Dickey and his wife, Denise, Clearwater, SC, the late Susan Hendrix and the late Ronnie B. "Smiley" Dickey, nephews and nieces, Brad Dickey, Drew Dickey and his wife, Shelby, Darrin Dickey, Robin Taylor and Brooke Lowe and her husband, Keith and a great-nephew, Maddox Dickey and great-niece, Keely Lowe, who stole his heart.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 19, 2018, from 5 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Bishop Ray Boggs and Pastor Eder Herrera will officiate. Interment will follow Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC, with his son-in-law, Pastor Jon Leopard officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie's work crew, Ryan Smith, Chris Mangieri, Clay Pearson, Todd Stinchcomb, Joe Crow and Lee Cullipher.
It has been requested by the family, that if so desired, memorials be made to Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
