Catherine Parker Obituary

North Augusta, SC-The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Catherine Regina Parker, who entered into rest March 5, 2026, will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. The recitation of the Rosary will take place in the church at 10:30. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 at the church. Reverend J. Antony Das Gaspar, Very Reverend Richard C. Wilson, VF, and Reverend David Arnoldt celebrants.

Cathy was a native of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, having made North Augusta her home for the past 75 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. In addition to her love for the church, her family and friends, Cathy was an avid reader and bridge player. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center in Paterson, NJ and retired as a registered Nurse from St. Joseph's Hospital in Augusta, GA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis S. Parker; three brothers, Monsignor Edward Szapka, Clement Szapka and Alfred Szapka; two sisters, Helen Fadnek and Cecila Klemski.

Survivors included two sons, Lewis Edward Parker and his spouse Jane, Houston, TX and Thomas John Parker, North Augusta, SC; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
