Carolyn Bush Lybrand
AIKEN, SC - Ms. Carolyn Bush Lybrand, age 82, of Aiken, S.C., daughter of the late Wylie Austin Bush, Sr. and the late Mattie Bell Stroble Bush, entered into eternal rest at Aiken Regional Medical Center on Saturday, December 5, 2015.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Cofer of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, Wiley Austin Bush, Jr. of Vadalia, Ga.; grandchildren, Michael Cofer, Brian (Jennifer) Lybrand, Melissa (Shawn) Bryan and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Lee Lybrand.
She was born in Graniteville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. During her working years, she worked as a clerk in the Aiken County Tax Assessor's Office.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville, S.C.
She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 82 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has now made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where all is joy and peace and no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". A graveside service will be held at the Graniteville Cemetery on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. James L. Young officiating.
In keeping with her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Sheryl,
I am saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. I have precious memories of her. She taught me how to make her delicious macaroni and cheese casserole.
God bless her homecoming.

Sheryl, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. We have all reached the age where we know how you feel because of this loss or are dreading to learn first hand your feelings. I know you are greatful for the years you had with her and know she is resting with The Lord and other friends and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my mom 28 years ago. God bless you.
