Caroline Woodward Obituary
AIKEN - A celebration of life service for Mrs. Caroline Lott Woodward, age 59 will be held 2:00 pm Thursday February 1, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church, Aiken with Rev. Brancie Stephens and Rev. Gareth Hegler officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Park. Caroline was called home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family Sunday January 28, 2018 after a long battle with Dementia. She was the beloved wife of 40 years to Steve Woodward and loving daughter of Mrs. Nancy Bryant Lott and the late Mr. Olin E. Lott, Sr. Caroline was a native and a life long resident of Aiken County. Very good at what she did, she worked a combined total of 20 years for Palmetto Federal Bank, Regions Bank and retired from Security Federal Bank due to illness. As an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, totally devoted to her Savior, she considered it her Ministry to play the Church Organ for 39 years, as well as singing solos and served as the church secretary. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and lived the Christian life every day. Additional survivors include her daughter, Monica Woodward of Aiken; her son and his wife, Gareth (Amber) Woodward; four grandchildren, Piper, Phoebe, Tristian, Theron Woodward; one brother Gene (Sandy) Lott, Graniteville; one sister Myra (Russ) Parrish, Aiken. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Meuse, Trystan Tomco, Lee Benson, Mat Wyckoff, Gareth Woodward, Chris Benson. Honorary pallbearers will be, Billy Evans, Hoover Johnson, Lynn Salley, Connie Rule, Michael Marsh, Brenda Benson, Lola Szasz. In lieu flowers the family has suggested that memorials be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research, 140 Stonerridge Dr., Suite 210, Columbia, SC 29210 or to a charity of your choice. A visitation with the family will take place 6-8 pm Wednesday January 31, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church 1127 Bethel Church Road, Aiken, SC, 29801. Steve-Monica-Miss. Nancy, Ray and I are so sorry about Caroline. She will be dearly missed if not for anything except her beautiful smile. Hope you are holding up as best you can. Every time we hear an organ playing we will remember her faithfulness and her love of music. Also her enjoyment of being with the children and seeing their enjoyment of life.
