Carol Torchia Hutto Obituary

Hephzibah, GA – Mrs. Carol Ann Torchia Hutto, 79, entered into rest October 19, 2025. Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, October 23rd, at 3 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Alvin Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 2 until 3 o'clock. A private interment will be held at a later date. Carol was born October 7, 1946, to the late Patrick Samuel Torchia and Irene Hodges Torchia. She was a native of Calhoun Falls, SC, having made Hephzibah, GA her home for over 30 years. Carol was passionate about helping those around her. She was a devoted nurse with over 40 years of service and helped to heal the lives of all the people that were in her care. Carol enjoyed traveling to the mountains and loved spending time with her loving family. She was never known to have met a stranger and was deeply loved by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Torchia; her brother; Patrick Torchia; and her sister, Sandra Torchia. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Henry R. "Rick" Hutto, her children; Lannis Grubbs (Laurie), Melissa Craig (Mike), Crystal Goodson (Clayton), Robert Grubbs, Caitlynn Hutto, Greg Hutto, and Heather Gunn (Jarrod); nieces; Amy Torchia and Vanessa Torchia; ten grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Peggy Stevens.
