Carol Sue Collinsworth
AIKEN, SC - Carol Sue Collinsworth, 75, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
Born in Blue Diamond, KY, Sue was the daughter of Hargis and Della Hensley Collinsworth. She lived in Dayton, OH for 47 years and has been a resident of Aiken for the last 8 years. She retired as a Medical Technologist and taught Phlebotomy and medical related courses at Miller-Mott Technical College. She was a member of the Mended Hearts and the Secretary of Aiken Republican Club. She was an active member of Talatha Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Frances Smith (Kenneth) of Aiken; 2 brothers, Darrell Collinsworth (Sue) of Aiken and David Collinsworth (Laura) of London, KY; 2 nieces, Deborah Wazir (Mo) and Robyn Kelhoffer; 2 nephews, Gregory Smith and Scott Collinsworth; 4 great-nephews, Abrar and Zafar Wazir, Zach and Brandon Collinsworth; a great- niece, Kasci Brantley.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 PM at Talatha Baptist Church with The Reverend Kevin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Smith, Scott Collinsworth, Jim Hensley, Zach Collinsworth, Abrar Wazir, and Zafar Wazir.
Memorials may be directed to Talatha Baptist Church Building Fund, 361 Talatha Church Road, Aiken, SC 29803.

Fran, Kenny and all...what a shock it was to see Sue is gone. We have so many wonderful memories.I always said she could make a funeral funny but it is not funny now. She was a blessing to so many and will always be remembered to my family as Aunt Sue. God Bless you all. Loving, Jim and Carolyn

Sue was simply the best person anyone could ever meet. Although I only knew her for a short while, she will be missed forever. She was the kind of person that brought peace and joy to every one she met. My prayers are with her and to all her family.
