Carly Prosser Obituary

Carly Prosser
Graniteville - Miss Carly Michelle Prosser, 9, of Graniteville, SC, ran into the arms of Jesus, in the comfort of her home, on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, while being held by her parents, Terry and Amy Prosser and big sister, Ansley and with her beloved dog Remi, by her side.
Carly was born on January 12, 2012, in Aiken, SC. Carly was the 13th child in the world born with a rare genetic mutation called Microcephaly-Capillary Malformation Syndrome. She suffered from infantile spasms, intractable epilepsy and never progressed beyond 3 months of age developmentally. Carly traveled with her family to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN, for her ongoing care. Even though Carly has never spoken a word, she has reached the lives of people all over the world. Her family is taking great comfort knowing when Carly reached Heaven her sight was restored, and Jesus was the first face she saw. Carly's journey will continue to be shared through the lives of her family, friends, community and all who knew and loved her. What a gift she has been. In addition to her parents and sister, family members include her grandparents; Rickey and Vicky Carter, Terry, Sr and Jo Prosser, and Peyton and LuAnne Northington. Her special friends and family include Jonathan and Kayla Prosser (Case and Canaan) and Bill and Dana Defenbaugh (Minelle).
The family will greet friends on Saturday, May 22, 2021, beginning at 11 o'clock at the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 o'clock at the church. Pastors Kyle Poole and Mike McAdory will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Bryan Knight, Zane Prosser, Jonathan Prosser and Bill Defenbaugh.
To continue Carly's legacy, the family has asked that memorials be made to the Carly Unlimited Scholarship. Mail to The Prossers at 339 Mustang Drive, Graniteville, SC 29829
