Calvin Beck Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Calvin Leroy Beck, Sr., 91, husband of the late Ruby Clarke Beck, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Calvin was a son of the late Olin Leonard and Lenora Barton Beck. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the former owner of Calvin L. Beck Well Drilling and then became a consultant to his son at Beck Well Drilling. He was a longtime member of the South Carolina Ground Water Association. He was a member of Montmorenci First Baptist Church where he formerly served as a Deacon.
Survivors include two sons; Calvin Leroy Beck, Jr. (Sharon), Marietta, GA and Louie Duane Beck,
(Evelyn), Trenton, SC, seven grandchildren; Tammi Beck Frye (Brian), Shanna Beck Dover, Kristy Beck Royer (Jeremy), Heath David Beck (Amy), Kevin Duane Beck, Kaylee Beck Erdman (Ben) and Kara Beck Dye (Parker), eight great-grandchildren; John Calvin Frye, Shawn Dover, Ashley Dover, Sydney Frye, Aaron Calvin Royer, Nora Elizabeth Beck, Josephine Rose Beck,
Benjamin Theodore Erdman; a sister, Eloise Crouch, North Augusta, SC.
In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, January 25th from 6 until 8 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Thursday morning, January 26th at 11 o'clock at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Heath Beck, Kevin Beck, Ben Erdman, Brian Fry, Jeremy Royer, Bill Smith, John Calvin Frye, Parker Dye, and Shawn Dover.

Sorry for your loss. Mr. Beck was a good man to do business with. I am proud say he drilled my well 29 years ago, and he was very reliable and the most reasonable that I found.
May he rest in peace from all the hard work he did during his life time. He has no more to do except enjoy his Heavenly rewards. May God Bless each of those he left behind. Just know your tears and broken hearts only means, ANOTHER BEAUTIFULL FLOWER HAS BEEN ADDED TO GODS HEAVENLY GORGEOUS GARDEN'S! Prays are with you all as I know how you feel, for I to lost my Dad, Granddad and in 2015 my Husband/Love of my life of 27 years.
