Byron Jackson Obituary

It is with deep and profound sympathy that we announce the transition of Mr. Byron LaJonta Jackson who entered into rest June 25, 2025. Mr. Jackson was a 1998 graduate of North Augusta High School and South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was the operator of Jackson Heating & Air Conditioning. He was a member of Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Bettie Turner Jackson of North Augusta, SC; five sons, Kiestin Byron Jackson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Paul Khaylon Coleman and Kheylan DeMyron Coleman both of Aiken, SC, Bryson Jones of Evans, GA and Mekhi Jackson of Augusta, GA; one daughter, Leah McKinley Jenkins of Clearwater, SC; two sisters, Armetria (Timothy) Odom of Warrenville, SC and Arnissa Jackson of North Augusta, SC; one brother, JuanAntoine Damon (Kori) Jackson of Crestwood, KY; five nephews, Kendall Palmer, Jon Jackson, Cayden Odom, Mason Odom and Xavier Robinson; one niece, Bryce Jackson; aunts, Justine R. Butler, Fannie Turner, Vicki Turner, Wilburn Jackson, Marjorie Jackson and Linda Faye Jackson; uncles, Deacon Johnnie (Minnie Pearl) Turner, William (Sarah Jean) Jackson, Nathaniel (Linda) Jackson, Deacon Calvin (Evergrace) Jackson, Clifford (Sheneque) Jackson and Vance Frazier; one great-aunt, Essie B. Turner; godmothers, Earlene Merriweather and Iola Abney; a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence D. Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
