Bruce Lund Obituary

Mr. Bruce Christian Lund, 80, of Warrenville, SC, affectionately known as "Duach," beloved husband of Stacey Clark Lund for twenty-seven years, entered into rest on Friday night, October 3, 2025. A son of the late Charles and Ruth Jensen Lund, he was a native of Woodbridge, New Jersey. He was a former resident of Monroe, GA, before making Warrenville, SC, his home in August 2007. A Vietnam Veteran, Duach, proudly served his country with honor, courage, and commitment in the United States Navy. He received double majors in history and political science from Concordia College in Minnesota. He pondered being a history teacher, and he even entertained going to seminary. He ended up spending his career as a Claims Adjuster at Prudential. Duach was an accomplished author. After his retirement, he was able to finally pursue his long time passion of writing. Several of his books, including 'The Healer,' 'The Healer, the Sequel,' 'I make All Things New,' and 'Legacy' have been published and are currently available on Amazon. Duach had a variety of interests. He enjoyed spending time on his computer, gardening, doing yard work, being at sea on a cruise, bird-watching, maintaining his fish aquarium, and, let us not forget, spending time with his beloved felines. However, nothing made him any happier than spending treasured time with his family. Along with his wife, Duach is survived by his daughters, Charlotte (Donnie) Bowden and Alice Lund(Adam) Smith, brother, Robert (Karen) Lund, granddaughters, Bethany and Megan Bowden, as well as other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. Mike Bledsoe will officiate the service-veterans' honors rendered by a United States Navy Honor. The family will greet friends one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, it is requested by Alice Lund Smith, Duach's daughter, that donations be given to Duach's wife, Stacey Lund.
