Boyd Armitage Obituary
Augusta, GA - Boyd Andrew Armitage, Sr., 78, of Augusta, GA, passed away, Friday, July 14, 2023 at Doctors Hospital.
He was born on August 5, 1944 in Spring Creek, PA, a son of the late William L. Armitage, Jr. and Gwendolyn Braley Armitage.
Boyd served his country in the United States Army with 3 tours of Vietnam. Boyd was known for his love of working with his hands. Many a building project or just refurnishing a family antique was his passion. He was loved by all for his easy going and giving personality.
He is predeceased by his parents, son Boyd Andrew Armitage, Jr., daughter Danita Armitage, and his first wife Ginger Armitage.
Boyd is survived by his wife Debra Sides-Armitage, of 22 years, Brothers: Robert Armitage, Craig (Pam) Armitage and Sisters: Ruella Hurlbat (Phillip), Rita Robert (Harold and Step Son John Burney.
Grandchildren: Shelby Armitage-Thomson (JT) and Joshua Burney.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 2648 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC
