Bobby Joe Wood
TRENTON - A celebration of life service for Mr. Bobby Joe Wood, age 62, will be held 1:00 PM Thursday July 8, 2021 at Warrenville First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Graniteville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bowick, Tracy Wood, Ed Lamb, Rubin Phillips, Dylan Wood, and Dakota Wood.
Mr. Wood entered into rest at his residence Sunday July 4, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Rannah Hartman Wood and the son of Mrs. Mildred Herrin Wood Jackson, Eureka, and the late Joseph William Wood. Mr. Wood was a native of Fort Gordon, GA, but had made Trenton his home all his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Warrenville.
Mr. Wood graduated high school in 1978 from Parker High School in Greenville, SC. Following his graduation, Mr. Wood began working from 1978 to 2005 at Graniteville Co. for the Gregg Division. Following the train wreck in Graniteville, Mr. Wood began working for Walmart on Richland Ave. for four years as a clerk in the automotive department. His hobbies included bowling, NASCAR, dirt bike racing, and beach and lake activities.
Additional survivors include: one daughter Tiffany (John Wheeler) Wood, Monetta, SC; one stepson Shawn Vincent, Lakewood, CO; one stepdaughter Brandi Hartman, Ormond Beach, FL; one brother Tracy Wood, Trenton; one sister Cindy Phillips, Aiken; four grandchildren Kayleigh Wood, Mason Wheeler, Sadie Vincent, and Brooklyn Heartless.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Building Fund for Warrenville First Baptist Church PO BOX 338 Warrenville, SC 29851.
