GLOVERVILLE, SC - Mr. Bobby Redd, widower of Mrs. Agnes Redd, of Gloverville, died May 16, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born August 25, 1930 in Vaucluse, SC, he was the son of the late John M. Redd and Ellie Mae Mamie Rebecca Carter Redd.
Mr. Redd was a long time member of Langley First Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member. He worked for and later retired from both Kimberly-Clark and Graniteville Company after many years of dedicated service. Later in life, he became an amazingly accomplished cabinet maker. He made beautiful pieces of furniture that the family will treasure forever.
Mr. Redd was a loving, playful husband, daddy, and PaPa and a loyal friend to all. He especially enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Mr. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years; his brother, Hubert Redd and his sister, Ellie Mae Couch.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Lynette Rodgers (Brad) of Columbia, Bobbie Ann Redd-Hallman of Merced, CA, Carole Redd Carmichael of Gloverville and Dean Redd (Tammy) of Ulmer, SC; his grandchildren, Shawn Rodgers, Lezlee Kirby, Hannah Redd-Hallman, Dylan Hallman, Aliena Kyzer, Brandye Parker, Nathan Melton,
Jessica Grice, Ashton Redfern, McKenzie Karm, and John Redd; his 20 great-grandchildren; and his brother, JB Redd (Joyce) of Aiken, SC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 6-8PM at Hatcher Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11AM at Langley First Baptist with Pastor Ken Garvin and Pastor JB Redd officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made in Mr. Bobby's memory to The American Red Cross, PO Box 4002018, Des Moines, IA 50340.
Arrangements by Hatcher Funeral Home, Hwy 1, Langley, SC.

I am very saddened to hear of Mr. Bobby's death. Both he and Mrs. Agnes were two special people and great neighbors; I have many fond memories of them. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this difficult time.
