Billy Safley Obituary

Billy "Bill" Safley
AIKEN, SC - Billy (Bill) R. Safley, 84, beloved husband of Chris Safley, died Monday, November 21, 2016 at home surrounded by family.
Bill was born July 18, 1932 in Campaign, TN, and was a resident of Aiken County since the 1960s. He was a son of the late Ira and Alverne Rhinehart Safley.
In addition to his wife Chris, survivors include a sister-in-law Maria McKinney, niece Kim Woodward, and great-nephew Tristan Woodward, all of Aiken, extended family, and many friends and neighbors.
Affectionately known as Mr. Bill by co-workers and close friends, he was a proud 25-year employee of Carlstar Group (formerly Carlisle Tire and Wheel, Inc.).
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Ray B. Vaughters, Jr. and staff, Aiken Rescue Squad, and Trinity Hospice of Aiken.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be directed to Aiken Rescue Squad, 631 Kershaw St NE, Aiken, SC 29801, or toTrinity Hospice of Aiken, 690 Medical Park Dr, Aiken, SC 29801.
