Billy Fowler Obituary
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Funeral Services for Mr. "Clemson" Billy Fowler, 69, who entered into rest November 7, 2014, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Chris Brown officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fowler was a native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, having made North Augusta his home for the past 47 years. He retired as a licensed sports massage therapist. Mr. Fowler attended the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind where excelled in athletics. He was an avid outdoorsman, an accomplished swimmer and a successful personal trainer. Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Aileen Tinsley.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Fowler, Greer, SC and Jeff Fowler, Lincolnton, NC and Buddy Shull (Jackie), Lincolnton, NC; a brother, Bobby Tinsley, North Augusta, SC; three sisters, Janice Harn (Michael), North Augusta, SC, Edna Mae Tinsley (Tim), North Augusta, SC and Sherry Icenhower (Doyle), Maryville, TN; one granddaughter, Britney Curtis (Eric); many loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Harn, Miles Brantley, Harvey Drennan, Ray Krause, Tim Tinsely and Jay Culbreath.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
