Betty Walker "Boots" Willis
AIKEN - Mrs. Betty Walker Willis, 88, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late William E. "Bill" Willis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Liz Adele Galloway Walker. She was a member of Pentecost United Methodist Church. Miss Betty began her career at the former Farmers and Merchants Bank and later retired from the Aiken County Tax Accessors Office. She enjoyed watching Golf and she also enjoyed plants, flowers and gardening. More than anything however, she enjoyed being with her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Richard E. "Rick" Willis and Mike Willis, both of Aiken, SC and the late Brenda Louise Willis Bodie, siblings, Harry Walker and his wife, Brenda, Aiken, SC, the late Bill Walker, the late Thomas E. Walker and the late Everett Walker, grandchildren, Jason Bodie, Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jake Willis, Mt. Pleasant, SC and Luke Willis, Greenville, SC and great-grandchildren, Henry Bodie, Kaitlyn Bodie and Junia Willis.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, beginning at 10 o'clock at Pentecost United Methodist Church, Warrenville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 o'clock at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
