BETTY SMITH Obituary

If there is one thing I will always remember about Betty Jo is laughter. I have worked there eight years and she would call out to me often and we would discuss the events of the day. She was always smiling and caring of others bringing joy day after day. This is what life is all about dry a tear, ease a burden, uplifting others in a world that needs unconditional love most of all. I think we connected as coworkers because we both had an approach that at times can be misunderstood. I will truly miss her- a real jewel of a person. My sincere condolences to her family, friends, and may God be with you all during this difficult time. Rest in peace Betty Jo and I will never forget to laugh thanks to you.

To the family of Betty jo Alice and Billy Joe I work with your mother for over 20 yrs @ OAC and I just want to tell you what a wonderful woman she was . Always smiling and encouraging to others .she had a beautiful spriit about her. I just loved her. She will surely be missed.i am praying Gods strenght for all of you.Just know that she will forever live in our hearts and God Blless You

Betty Jo made an important difference in the lives of our special needs individuals at OAC through her unselfish contributions. During the past 19.5 years that my daughter, Katie, has been a resident Betty Jo and I grew to become friends and I will certainly miss her. To Alice and Billy: May you find comfort in the days ahead. She fiercely loved you both and it is evident that her beautiful spirit lives on in each of you.

Mom, I am still having trouble collecting my thoughts and words ~ all I know...

Betty Jo always had a smile for others. She was always right there, ready to pitch in and help others in any way needed. I cannot imagine the OAC day program without her. She will, indeed, be sorely missed.

When I needed a friend you were always there, no matter what.You said I was the closet you ever had to a sister you were my sister in everyway.All the fun and laughs will never be forgotten.All the animals we rescued together,the hearts we gave a little happiness too,the friendship that can never be replaced.I love you my sister now and forever.Rest my friend rest its your time now...

Betty Jo was one of the kindest and most caring people I knew and I know she will be greatly missed by many, many people.
