Betty Pritchard Vickers Price
AIKEN, SC - Betty "Betty Boop" Pritchard Vickers Price, age 81, of Aiken, S.C., loving wife of Ronald F. Price and daughter of the late Elbert "E.J." and Lilly Sheppard Pritchard, entered into rest at her residence on Thursday, September 8, 2016. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Sherry V. Shirah of Aiken, S.C. and her fiance;e, James Holdren, Jr.; a brother, Lynwood "Butch" (Linda) Pritchard of North Augusta, S.C.; grandchildren, Amber (Adam) Lambert, Tiffany (Chris) Garland and Patrick "William" Shirah; two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie V. Baker, her first husband, William Marion Vickers and a grandson, Steven D. Keenan, Jr.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, S.C. She was a member of the Ladies' Auxilliary VFW Post 10601 in Aiken. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was fondly known as "Mama" and a friend to all. Her family stated that her cooking and baking skills were just out of this world. She especially enjoyed cooking Christmas Goodies and let's not forget how much she enjoyed decorating her front yard with all those inflatables. Why people would ride by her house every year just to see her decorations. She was also an avid flower gardener. She enjoyed vacationing at the Beach and in the Mountains. She had a bubbly personality and always greeted you with a smile. Yes, a lady of her caliber shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 81 years that God granted her on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her family and many friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, September 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
A service, celebrating her life, will be held at St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Barry T. Antley officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Pallbearers will be Adam Lambert, Chris Garland, Steven Vickers, Chip Vickers, Johnny Greene and Tommy Evans.
