Betty Jo Owen
Jackson, S.C, - Mrs. Betty Jo Owen, 79, widow of William J. Owen Jr., Matriarch, loving and devoted Mother, and Grandmother and resident of Jackson, South Carolina passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014.
A Daughter of the late Paul J. Owen and Ollie Shook, she was born in Banner Elk, NC, and lived in Jackson, SC for the last 59 Years. She was a great cook and a talented seamstress. She especially loved children and tending to her flowers and her garden. She enjoyed socializing and would entertain friends and family whenever she could. She was sweet, kind, and loving, and she will be missed.
Survivors include her sons William J. Owen III (Debra) of Jackson SC, and Scott P. Owen (Mary) of Chardon OH, and a daughter Karen L. Glenn (Gerard) also of Jackson SC. Mrs. Owen also leaves her brothers Herman Owen (Jeannette) of Brevard NC, and Ron Owen and a sister, Odeana Miller of Lake Taxawa NC. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Robbie Glenn (Jana), William J. Owen IV, Alexandra Owen, Madeline Owen, and Emma Owen. Mrs. Owen also leaves one great grandchild, Raegan Glenn.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Monday at the George Funeral Home, Historic Park Avenue location, with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Our mothers where sisters! We live so close together and did not spend time together. I feel that it is my loss I have not seen Betty Jo in 15 years. May GOD be with the family I know he is with her!!!!
