AIKEN, SC - A celebration of life service for Mrs. Betty Joyce Brown Morris, age 83 will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday March 15, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Taylor Wells and Rev. Chris Masters officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Morris will lie in state in the church one hour prior to services. Mrs. Morris entered into rest peacefully at her residence Saturday March 11, 2017. She was the wife of the late Mr. Don Charles Blackwell and Mr. Perry Alton Morris and a daughter of the late Mr. John Brown and the late Mrs. Abbie Powell Brown. She was a native of Lyons, GA and was a life long resident of Aiken County. Mrs. Morris Retired of 38 years of service in Purchasing with E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company at the Savannah River Plant. She was an avid coin and plate collector, and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Garnett) Howard, Aiken, Sheila (Jim) Zurn, Arizona; one brother, Ronald Odom, Lyons, GA; one sister, Wanda Faye Bass, Milledgeville, GA; three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Morris was also predeceased by one brother, Virgil Odom. Pallbearers will be Wayne Odom, Jonathon Odom, Christopher Odom, Tony Brannon, Chuck Goff, and Matthew Morris.
